This book was just ok for me. You have Jax who comes back home after being away for 3 years. She meets this guy Ky, who is a good friend of her best friend(Sebastian). They both have issues, and of course he's a man whore before he meet's her. I just never got the feeling that Ky really loved her. He was always leaving & walking away from her. The story spans a year and they're not together for more than half of it. I almost felt like Ace, who was another friend of Jax's cared more about her than Ky. I just didn't feel the love in this one. It's not horrible, but not one I would say " you have to read". It's all about the characters for me, and I didn't really love either one of the leads. Jax was nice enough, and so was Ky, but he just so easily gave up & bailed when things didn't go how he thought they should. I like a stronger male lead I guess. I just thought he gave up too easy & didn't seem to fight enough to be with Jax, which is why they're apart for most of the book.

********Spoiler***** not that it was a big issue, but there was no sex, and truthfully for me, I didn't care because I never felt the deep connecection between them.

Oh 5 amazing stars to this book. OK so rocker books are my weakness,I love them!!! But I like a little different thrown in there,not the same old same old and I definitely got that with this book. I went through every emotion you could go through and back again. I enjoyed this book so much I've already got the next one to read!!
Jaxyn had a pretty good life up until she hit 12 years old then he went all down hill. She had to suffer through some things no little girl should but she always had her best friend Sebastian with her but sometimes you need to run away. After being gone for 3 years she decides to come back home and fight for her life. To be stronger than she was when she had to run. But she never counted on finding Kyden, a hot, tattooed,pierced musician who went through girls like no other. She always wanted a fairy tale kind of love and her mom always told her not to settle for less and KY was definitely not a prince. Bit with threats of the past coming back and KY showing a different side of him her heart might decide against her head. And she might lose it all before she even knew what she needed or wanted.
I really did love this book and didn't want to put it down!! There is some mature content and of course some rowdy rockers but so well worth the read. I highly recommend this book actually probably the whole series because I'm going into book 2 now! ) Once upon a time.......
Finding Ever After is a true Cinderella story about Jaxyn who is searching for her Prince Charming. Jaxyn was raised by her mother who instilled in her daughter to never settle and keep your morals and values close to your heart. Jaxyn has a best friend Bas, he is like a brother to her and they are insepertable. But life happens and Jaxyn finds her world turned upside down where she is far from home and feeling very alone. When Jaxyn returns home and reunites with Bas and his gang of friends she has a sense of family. These guys are a group of musicians and they are incredibly funny and protective friends. One guy in particular named Kyden is super sexy but as far from Prince Charming as you get. Jaxyn is attracted to this sexy bad boy, but she is holding out for real love and she has a lot of demons to work thru from her past. The friendships in the story are so real and I feel like friendship and loyalty and true love are the main theme of the story. The author even wrote music lyrics, very cool. So curl up with this amazing group of characters that will make you heart happy.

Stephanie Hoffman McManus has written another breathtaking story! FINDING EVER AFTER, the first book in her EVER AFTER SERIES, is dynamic! I love the story and the characters are amazing!

Jaxyn, also known as Jazz, had a mother she absolutely adored. Her mother read her fairy tales every night. They always started with "Once Upon A Time" and ended with "Happily Ever After". They only had each other, and Jazz's mother made sure that her childhood was magical. Unfortunately, at age 12, Jazz learned that happily ever after didn't always happen. Her mother passed away, and left her with the following advice

"Promise me you'll be careful with your heart. That you'll protect it and
won't give it away to just anyone. Wait for the man who will cherish it.
You are my Princess. Don't settle for anyone who doesn't see that. You
deserve a real life Prince."

"There's going to be pain and disappointment in life, but don't let them
break you. Don't ever settle."

Jazz spent the next few years with her father, whom she had not met before, and her life took a drastic, dangerous turn. Feeling desperate, Jazz escaped to try and find herself and didn't even tell her two best friends she was leaving. They were devastated.

Hoping that her best friends could somehow forgive her, three years later she decides to return to her childhood home, where she had so many memories of her precious mother. The one thing she didn't count on was meeting HOT, HOT, Kyden McCabe, the sexy, tattooed and pierced lead singer of a local, popular rock band. He was everything she knew she shouldn't want. She wanted a Prince. He wanted a one night stand.

Jazz was fighting the enormous attraction she has for Ky. Ky was also fighting his explosive attraction to Jazz. Neither one were having much luck. Then her past rears its ugly head and she finds herself in danger again.

Stephanie - I was not ready for this book to end. I can not wait for the second book in this series!
